Hello and Welcome to Me, Myself, Music and Mysteries. Let me introduce myself …. well I’m not a man of wealth (unless you don’t mean material wealth) or taste (or a least that what my wife says about my musical listening sometimes) but I am 63 years old and have been happily married for 39 years. We have with four great kids. I live in Riverside New Jersey and have been an avid reader and music listener for a long time! Most of the time I’m either reading mystery series or thrillers and often the thrillers are series, too. I read authors like Vince Flynn, Brad Thor and Alex Berenson. The music I listen to is usually Folk or Americana in nature, with a little Jazz, Blues, and New Age mixed in. The purpose of this blog is to write about the books that I ‘m reading and have read and the music I listening to and have loved over the last 40 years! I used to write little blurbs to myself in journals, where I kept track of book titles and dates that I read the book, but this seems like more fun and I hope that maybe someone will find a new author or new musician that they will enjoy or maybe not!
Thank you very much for your kind words about our new album – bless your heart! Hope we get to cross paths someday so we can thank you in person.
All the best to you,
Laurie & Rusty Wright
Thank you very much! It always makes my morning when an artist comments about a post! Keep up the great work and I’ll keep listening!
Hey Ed, I read about you just now listening to Neil Young albums that were released during the early 70s. If you like Harvest Moon (1992), which I only just listened to for the first time this evening, you should really like Harvest (1972) a whole lot more. Of course, I’ve been listening to it for the past forty years so I’m biased. I also really like After the Gold Rush (1970) and of course Everybody Knows This is Nowhere (1969) is a true classic.
Hello from Tiger Maple String Band! I just came across your wonderful review of “Coming Home” – thank you for sharing such kind words about our album. It means a lot to us and we are so glad you enjoyed it! Hopefully someday we will play out your way!
Best,
Alison
Thank you very much for listening to our latest, “Shake It” and for all the kind words, you warm our hearts. Now if you can just warm the weather (woke up to a 27 degree Wisconsin morning..April 24th) all will be right with the world.
Thanks again!

Ed – really love your thoughtful piece, “Let Them Starve – Why the Hate?” Look forward to future pieces on the big social issues of the day. Good thoughts to you and your family. Feel free to peek at my blog when time permits. Cheers!
Thanks so very much for your groovy words about my latest CD, ‘What You Got’! Glad you dig the noise we make and keep on digging the blues! Much peace.
Rick ‘Poppa Dawg’ Halisheff
Thanks for supporting and digging my music! It’s good words from music lovers like you that keep us going in this crazy biz! Blessings to you brother!
Hi Edward! Thank you so much for the review of “Highway Wind”. I’m glad you enjoyed the songs and the masterful playing of Rob Ickes. I guess it is funny that an Aussie is writing all these tunes about America! In my defense I have spent a lot of time over there… including a three month stay in Cedar Rapids 🙂 Anyhow, that’s another story. Thanks for the support. Cameron
